Well, I am starting to like Santa!!! I woke up on Christmas morning last week and Mummy and Daddy said that Santa had been and left me some presents. I liked to bang on the boxes but didn't really care too much about opening them up. Daddy had to help and inside was a little bus with some little people in it and when I press the drivers seat it plays songs.......I really like it. Santa was so clever to know exactly what I would like, he is almost as clever as Mummy!!!!! Then we went to the beach and we saw Grandpa, Aunty Jane and Uncle Carl and Aunty Em at the beach. Santa brought Grandpa a boogie board and Aunty Jane said he was just like a seven year old with his new toy!! I liked it at the beach and played in the sand a bit and then we went home and Mummy dressed me up to look pretty and then we went to have lunch at Nanny and Grandpa's. I had my usual avocado sandwich but I also had some cherries and grapes and cheese. Then I played in my pool. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to tell you my big news........I am a land owner!!!! Aunty Jane has bought me my very own acre block of land on the MOON!!!!!! So, just like lots of famous people I also own land on the moon. Mummy said one day we all may need to move there......but it might be along long time away. I also have my own little purple couch which I love to play on and I also got a lovely dress from Memere and Pepere and yesterday I got another beautiful dress from Matant Ginette and Monuncle John and Cousin Justin......thank you very much for my gifts!!
The other day my friend Ella came over to play and we had a great time hiding the tennis balls from Sasha and seeing how badly she wanted the tennis balls from us, she kept running after us and trying to get them off us but us 1 year olds are way too clever for her!!!!!
I have to go now as its time for a nap.

Oh no, Mummy has just reminded me again that in 2 more sleeps...(big sleeps that is!!), that the big jolly round man in the crazy red outfit with the long white beard is going to be coming to our house!!!!! Apparently he goes to every house especially if they have little people living there and he leave presents for them. Oh no, I really don't want to see him up close again, I hope I am fast asleep when he visits our house!
Mummy and Daddy have been visiting a lot of people lately and I have been going out so much which has been great fun. I have explored so many different backyards, tasted lots of yummy crackers with dips and met some new friends. On Saturday night on one of these visits out, I met 3 babies that were exactly the same age and came out of the same Mummy all at once. I'm not really sure how that all works but Mummy seemed to think it was pretty incredible as all the babies were only born weighing a little bit less than me and Mummy said something to Daddy about how their Mummy was so amazing to have 3 little babies as one is sometimes enough for her...(thats me I think!!)
Today Daddy took me to the beach and we had a great time playing in the water and the sand and when we came home I got in my little pool as it is a very hot day today!
Tomorrow I am going to pay at "Go bananas' with my friends and I can't wait to see them, especially Ella as she is my best friend!!

Guess what everybody, I know where my toes and my head and my belly is!!!!! Its a good thing I know that now because I dont think Mummy and Daddy knew where my head was as they keep saying to me..."Sophie, where's your head" and "now, where's your toes" and I can happily point to the part they need to know and then they clap hands and say "clever girl"!!!! I like to look at other little people like me and call them "Bubba"and point at them a lot. Yesterday in the supermarket I pointed to a bubba and said "Bubba" and his Mummy looked at my Mummy and said, Your the bubba little girl, as he is a lot older than you!!!!! Mummy said he was nearly 2 years old but he looked like a bubba to me!!
I also saw Santa Claus again yesterday and I made sure I clutched on to Mummy's shirt as tight as I could just incase she felt the urge to pass me over to him again, anyway I safely made it past him and then I saw him again in another shop and I thought, Wow, he really is everywhere and he had even lost weight since the last time I saw him 8 minutes ago and didn't need to wear glasses anymore either!!! See what an observant baby I am!!
Today I have been in my pool 6 times as it is a warm day today, I filled my pool with so many of my beach toys there was no room for me to sit down and I accidently sat on the spade and it was very uncomfortable. Tonight I am having a sleep over at Nan and Grandpa's as Mummy and Daddy have to go out again. They went out 3 weeks ago and I dont know why they need to go out again !!!! Anyway, I am not sad at all because I like to go and stay there as I have lots of fun there as well.

Bonjour,
First of all, I was not happy like I told you I wouldn't be about sitting on the "Big round man in red with the white hair and beards" knee, but I did like to stare at him even from up close but when I had to sit on his knee, I cried. In the end I was happy to sit on Mummy's knee and she could sit next to the man...(By the way, his name is Santa Claus!!) all for a photo. I'm not sure what all the fuss is about but Santa Claus sure is everywhere. I've seem him in so many places and sometimes on the one day! This morning I saw him on the television and I turned to Mummy and pointed and said, "anta"!!!!
Last week my friends came over to my house to play but I wasn't in a very playful mood and just wanted to sit on Mummy's knee. My gums were hurting so much it made me so sad. Yesterday though, one more tooth appeared and I am not as sad anymore and another three teeth will probably come through very soon as well. I am now feeling so much better that last night I didn't even wake up crying for Mummy or Daddy to come and see me and I just slept all night long.
Daddy has been working a lot lately but Mummy has let me stay up a little bit later so that I can play with him when he gets home but then I get so worked up from laughing at him I don't want to go to bed at all!!!! He is very funny and a little bit silly because I like to put my pyjamas on my head and then I can't see and he pretends he can't find me so then I have to pull them off my head so he can see me again....he is so silly!! This little game makes me laugh a lot.
Better go as I need to have a nap now.

I had so much fun on the weekend. I stayed at Nan Nan and Grandpa's house on Saturday night because Mummy and Daddy had to go to a wedding and I wasn't invited!! Aunty Jane also came over and we all went to the beach and I played so much in the sand and the water...it was great!! I was a good girl and only woke up once in the middle of the night uinlike at home when I have been waking up lots of times!! Then on Sunday Nan Nan took me to my house and at first I was a little bit upset with Mummy for going away for the night and not taking me with her but I didn't stay mad for long as we had to get ready for my friend Lenny's first birthday. (Lenny is the cute little boy sitting in the chair in the photos of my party....on my webpage....for those who don't know!) He had a party in a park and their were lots of other little one year olds just like me and they were all girls. So there were 8 little girls and only 1 boy. I told Mummy I was not happy that Lenny had so many girlfriends as I thought I was the only one in his life and I didn't feel like playing with them and I just stayed close to Daddy and Mummy all day. I only smiled a bit when daddy put me on the swings as that was fun but for the rest of the party I was not very happy and was not in my usual party mood!!
Today all my friends are coming over for lunch and I told Mummy to tell their Mummy's to bring their bathers so we can all go in my pool. I am so excited about that as I love playing in the pool. First of all I have to have a nice sleep as I am a bit grumpy this morning....I have 4 teeth that are so close to coming through it literally is just not funny any more!!!!! Thats why I get grumpy!! Oh yeah, Mummy also said this week she is going to take me to sit on the knee of a big fat man wearing a red suit with a huge white beard and that he comes from a place near Canada. I have no idea what she is on about but I wondered is he knows Justin seeing as he lives near Canada....Mummy said he just knows everybody, so I will tell you all about it, although I am not too keen on sitting on his knee, I can tell you that right now!!!

My house is very quiet again as Mummy and Daddy's friends have gone back to Canada. Sasha and I are very sad as we really loved all the extra attention, but one good thing is that Mummy can go back to typing my diary for me as shesaid she can now get access to the computer again. I have so much to say I hardly know where to start and it is also very hard for me to remember everything I have been doing as I am only almost 13 months old........
Yesterday I had to have my immunisation needles and I cried really, really loudly...but not for very long. Mummy said I was a very good girl and then that made me clap hands, and the nurse laughed at me. I always clap hands if someone says I am a good girl!!!!! I heard the nurse tell Mummy I have to go back in a month for more needles, I hope that that is a really long time away!!!
I have been playing a lot in my pool that I got for my birthday. It is my favourite thing to do at the moment. I just love to get in the water. Sometimes I go in the bigger pool but only with Mummy or Daddy and that makes me giggle a lot. I have also been to the beach a few times and had so much fun running on the sand and in the water. I can also understand a lot more things now that I am one.......like, when I am shopping with Mummy or Daddy, I always point out the bananas for them.....I say, "Nanas, nanas, nanas", until they get some and put them in the trolley. Once I tried to trick them and when we went past the tomatoes, I said "Nanas, Nanas", but they were a bit too clever as they knew they weren't bananas. My Mummy and Daddy are so smart!!
Today I am going to do some shopping with Mummy, I can't wait. I love to sit in the trolley and watch everything. I especially love to look at all the other little people like me.

I have been having so much fun now that I am one year old!! I find I am able to do more things everyday and am learning all the time. I love to copy what Mummy and Daddy do as well and they think that I am very funny!!
We went on a little holiday with our friends from Canada and we stayed in a little cottage in the bush near Margaret River. I had been here before but I was a very little baby then I couldn't remember it very well. I had so much fun exploring the cottage and climbing the stairs and one day I went hiking with Mummy to go an see Daddy rock climbing. It was the best fun ever and the whole hike I kept pointing at things and Mummy would tell me what they were. I saw cows, lots of trees and bush, big rocks, and even a goanna. I also saw lots of seagulls and when they sqauked at me, I would sqauk right back at them. When we got to the cliff where Daddy was climbing I couldn't stop staring at the ocean and the waves crashing down and then Mummy and I saw 2 dolphins swimming!!! I can't wait to tell cousin Justin about that when I am bigger as I know that he really, really loves dolphins!!! I had lots of fun sitting in the dirt and playing!! After that I had a big sleep and when I woke up we went swimming in the ocean and I was giggling so much my face hurt! I love to run after the waves and sometimes I would fall over and then I would laugh even more. One time though I fell over and ended up swallowing some water and then I wasn't laughing anymore and we went home after that. I will tell you more about my adventured later as I have to go now because Mummy needs me to help her go and buy groceries again.

I am a big one year old now . As daddy says, "One is fun"!!! Last Thursday Daddy came home and he is going to stay home for a little while and it is going to be great. I was so happy to see him. When we came home, Mummy and Daddy gave me a birthday present. It is a toy xylephone and it makes pretty songs and it can also turn into a toy puppy. Nanny and Grandpa gave me a dolls pram and I love to wheel it around everywhere and sometimes I try to get in it as well. I also got some blocks and some pretty outfits to wear. Then on Friday we went back to the airport and I just realised I have been to the airport 3 times in 4 weeks, I was almost shouting the directions to Mummy from my seat in the back as I know the way now!! We went to get Cheryl and Tony as they are from Canada...(where Memere, Pepere and Cousin Justin live....and lots more of my Canadian relatives!!) they are here to stay with us for a little while. I am really liking having lots of people in the house as there is always someone that is looking at me and always someone to play with. Its so much fun. Then on Sunday I had my first birthday party and 9 of my friends and lots of Mummy and Daddy's friends came over and it was the best party I have ever been to, and I have been to quite a few you know!!! Mummy and Nanny made the yummiest food and MUmmy made a bright pink cake shaped as a number 1 (just incase someone didn't know how old I was!!) and it had smarties all over it and I was allowed to have a very small piece......it was delicious! It was a very hot day and I was given a little pool, so Daddy filled it with water and my friends and I played in it for ages, it was the best fun. I loved playing in the water and splashing everybody. After a few hours in the pool I had to have a sleep as I was soooooooo tired and when I woke up, went back in the pool. It was the best birthday I have ever had...ha ha, I have only had one, silly!!

Wow everybody, I am One year old today!!!!!!! Today I felt a little bit sleepy all day, maybe because I am 1 today!!. Mummy' sf friend Steph and her baby Lenny came to see me for my birthday and we had a picnic on the back lawn. It was great fun. Then tonight we had dinner at Nanny and Grandpa's but I was very tired so I went to sleep early. I am saving up all my energy for when Daddy comes home tomorrow and then for my party on Sunday. I can't wait. Mummy said I have some birthday presents but we are waiting for Daddy to come home so that he can watch me open them, so tomorrow I get to open presents....yay. That will be fun. Thank you Memere and Pepere for my lovely birthday message. I can't wait to meet you soon when we come over to Canada.

Today I went to stay with Nanny and Grandpa as Mummy was very busy and had to do lots of things. I think she is busy because it is my birthday in 2 more sleeps and I am having a party on Sunday and lots of my friends are coming. It's going to be so much fun!!
Also in 3 more sleeps Daddy comes home.....Mummy thinks it is funny that I am counting in sleeps as sleep is something I have not been very good at lately, especially at night. I would much rather stand in my cot and scream for mummy to come and give me cuddles. The clinic nurse told mummy she thinks I dont want to sleep because I noticed that daddy has gone away and that I am feeling like Mummy might go away as well, so I have to cry a lot to make sure she keeps coming to see me in my when I am in my cot. Today I was a good girl though and didn't cry at Nanny and Grandpa's house because I knew Mummy would come back and I had so much fun playing. I liked to play with toys and read some books today and when I felt like I had been clever I would clap my hands. I also know how to "High 5"!!!! Tomorrow I have to go for my 12 months old check up to make sure I am growing big and strong and to also check that I can do things that babies my age are supposed to, so I better pull out all the tricks tomorrow to impress the nurses.

Goodness me, another week has gone by so fast in my short little life. On Monday it was Daddy's birthday and so I made sure I was extra good for him, so good, I wouldn't let him out of my sight and cried even when he went to have a shower. Also it was my Grand Pepere's 88th birthday not that long ago as well. I am wondering what his party would be like because I go to so many 1 year old party's, I have never been to an 88 year old party!!! Do they have fairy bread at an 88 year old party....... Daddy said, he really didin't think so and especailly not in Canada but maybe when I visit I will make Grand Pepere some fairy bread, because you should get to eat fairy bread even if you are 88!!!! Mummy told me today it is only 5 more sleeps till I turn 1 year old. I am very excited. Mummy and Daddy are having a party for me a few days after my birthday and lots of my friends are coming. I am so excited I can hardly sleep......Mummy says maybe excitement is the reason why I keep waking up in the night time!!!!NOT! Daddy had to go away to work again but he will come home before the party. I really miss him and still call out da da a lot and I make sure to look at his photo at least 50 times a day!!! I love playing outside in the yard especially when Mummy is watering the flowers. Sometimes she accidently squirts me with the hose and it makes me giggle but when she does it to Sasha, Sasha runs away very fast. I also have been playing in Nanny and Grandpa's back yard and I love it when Nanny puts me on a beach towel and pulls me around the lawn......it is so much fun!!! I have also been playing a lot with my puzzle and when I get the wooden picture in the right spot I clap hands afterwards because I am just so clever!!! (Mummy forgot to tell you this Daddy!!!)
Today I am sure Mummy will tell me what we are doing because she is the boss of everything I do.......Im sure I will like it, (unless it is washing my face all day) because I hate having my face washed more than anything, maybe hate is too strong of a word for a 1 year old, as I am not supposed to hate anything yet, but I really, really, really, really, do not like having my face washed with a face cloth after I have eaten!!!!!

Yesterday my Daddy came home and Mummy and I went to the Airport to pick him up. I waited right next to the big door that says "Arrivals" and whenever anybody came through I would say, "da da" and then look at Mummy and she would say, "No, thats not Daddy", then finally Daddy came through the doors and I was so stunned I forgot to say "dada", but I put my arms out to go to him straight away and then all the way home in the car I kept saying dadadadada over and over again!
Daddy bought me 2 new dolls from China and I love to carry them around the house with me and give them cuddles. Yesterday afternoon Daddy and Mummy took me to the beach and I loved to play in the sand....I even ate some but it was yucky!! Daddy put my feet in the water and it was very cold so we went back to the sand and I got sand all over me and I watched Sasha runnig up and down the beach. I think I am going to love the beach, just as much as Sasha!
Today is Charlie's birthday and he is having a party, I can hardly wait. I hope they have fairy bread. By the way Memere, Fairy Bread is white bread and butter with hundreds and thousands sprinkled on top which is very prettty to look at. Daddy said you dont have hundreds and thousands in Canada so I will get Mummy to take a picture of some fairy bread and send to you. Well, I better have a nap so I am in my best "party mood".

It has been a very fun week so fun I have forgotten to write in my diary!!! It was very warm and sunny last week so Mummy took me on lots of very long walks. We walked along the beach path and Mummy said when Daddy gets home we are going to take me to the beach. I havent been there yet, but I have looked at it and it looks like it is going to be so much fun, all that white and blue. The white (sand) looks like it would be nice to eat!!! Sometimes I get bored in my pram and I want to walk but Mummy says I have to stay in the pram because she walks very fast! On Wednesday it was my best friend Ella's birthday and she was one!!!! Mummy and I went to visit her and give her a present. I picked out a really nice book on sssh (fish) and Mummy picked out some very pretty clothes. She is going to look cute....just like me!! Ella was so nice as she let me play with the wrapping paper and empty boxes once she had opened her present, that is why she is my best friend!!! After we played in the backyard with all the balls and I liked to wheel Ella's new dolls pram around. Yesterday was her party and lots of kids were there for me to play with. I liked sitting at the little table and chairs and eating!!! I had some fairy bread, watermelon, pineapple, sausage roll and a chocolate crackle. I got cocoa all over my face and it was delicious. I even had a little taste of birthday cake and that was the yummiest thing I have ever eaten!!! When we came home I had a little sleep and then we went to Uncle John and Aunty Valeries house as it was also Johns Birthday. I had a good time exploring and playing but then I became very tired so we went home so I could go to sleep as it was a very big day for a little girl like me.
Guess what else, Mummy said Daddy is coming home in 3 more sleeps and we are going to pick him up at the airport. I am so excited I think I am going to run to him when I see him.

Bonjour,
I have been such a busy girl lately. On Saturday I went to Fremantle to meet Shelley and Zac and had a great time playing in the big park and also shopping a little with Mummy. I sat in my pram and watched all the colourful people walk by........one old lady told Mummy I was a beautiful baby and Mummy said to me that was a very nice thing to say. So I played and played and played and ran after the seagulls...kind of ran...fast for me anyway!! On the way home, I was asleep before Mummy even started the car to drive away!!!! Yesterday was the birthday party with all my friends who have a birthday near me. Mummy made a big yellow cake in the shape of a number one and it was very yummy! I got a jigsaw puzzle and some beach toys but was far more interested in the wrapping paper!!! I had some fairy bread and some fruit and played with my friends. When we came home I had a big sleep because I was so tired and then when I woke up we went to another party in a big green park called KIngs Park. I liked to walk everywhere and talk to all the people at the party. I found a big red ball and I would kick it along and chase after it with some other kids and then I would pick it up and run away with it. Mummy had to kep running after me because I am very fast now. I wish my Daddy was there as well becaus ehe would have been able to run faster than Mummy!!!
This morning on the TV I saw someone playing a guitar and I walked over to the TV and Said "DA DA", and then I looked at Mummy and said "da da???) Mummy said it wasn't Daddy but I thought it was because he was playing a guitar and it sounded like when Daddy plays his. Mummmy said I am very clever to think of Daddy when I hear a guitar. I hope he comes home soon.

Today I decided I wanted and early start on the day so I woke up at 5.45am. Funny thing is, Mummy didn't seem to pleased about it as she kept trying to get me back to sleep and I didn't want to because I wasn't tired anymore!!!! I did feel a bit grumpy by 7.30am though and had to go back to bed for a quick sleep. I went to Nanny and Granpas house to play for a bit and then I got tired again so had to have another sleep. After that, Mummy and I came home and played and read books. I like to look at pictures of fish and ducks and I can even say ....ssshhh for fish and duh for duck, sometimes if I try really hard I can say, uck for duck as well. We have to go to get groceries later and I can't wait for that as it is so much fun.

Bonjour,
Today I am 11 months old!!!! Mummy says she can't remember what it was like before I was here and that was only 11 months ago!!! Daddy rang today but I didn't get to listen to him because Mummmy said he was in a hurry.
My friend Ella came over to play today and we had great fun. I like to take toys off her. It just seems that whatever she picks up to play wiht I want it as well. I also tried to grab her drink bottle all the time and that made her very sad. Her Mummy is my Mummy's friend and her Mummy asked if I could show Ella how to walk because she is 1 year old in a few days and she doesn't know how yet. By the time Ella went home I had taught her how to do 8 steps all at once, but she is going to really need to practise because she was very wobbly!!!!
It is raining a lot today and that makes me sad because I love playing outside and I am not allowed when it is so rainy and then I get very bored inside so I am not sure what exciting things mummy has planned for this afternoon after my nap, but it better be good becauce I am a hard baby to please sometimes.

Today is Aunty Jane and Cousin Justin's birthday. Mummy said Justin is 2 years and that is only 1 year more than I am going to be next month. Mummy didn't say how old Aunty Jane is but it is a lot more than 2 I think because she is a grown up!!!!!!! I hope they both have great days!!!
I am a little bit sad today because daddy has gone to China to work for 2 weeks. Daddy said he had to go and make some money so he could buy me a toy for my birthday which is almost soon as well. I am so sad he is not here to play with me and make me laugh. I carry his little passsport photo around with me and say da da da da a lot. I already miss him a lot!
Yesterday I went to my first birthday party. It was my friend Jordan's birthday abd she was 1 year old. I had my first taste of a very yummy sweet thing called cake. It was the best thing I have ever eaten but mummy only let me have a small bite and I wanted more so I cried but only for a few seconds. Mummy said I was going to be going to so many birthdays this month and I would probably be able to try lots more cake so I am very excited about that!!!!! I had so much fun at Jordan's house and she had lots of great new toys that I really liked to play with and there were also lots of other kids like me there so it was the best day!!!!
Today was warm day and I liked playing outside with Sasha. She lets me get the ball and then drop it so she can catch it. This is our favourite game to play.

Bonjour,
Yesterday Mummy had to go out with some of her friends as one of them is getting married. I didn't want to go because I find it very boring and Mummy said no other babies were going to be there anyway, but Daddy was still not feeling very well. Mummy said Nanny and Grandpa were going to look after me so I was very excited. They took me to visit Aunty Valerie and Uncle John and I showed them how I can walk. I also climbed up and down 3 stairs and they were very impressed. On the way home, we stopped to pick Mummy up at the restaurant and Nanny told Mummy that I had been a very good little girl!!!! I gave Mummy one of my..."I am always a good girl looks"!!!!
When we came home I played a little bit with Daddy and then I played in the shower for a while before getting in my pyjamas and going to bed. I always know when it is time for bed now.....it is always after I have milk. When I finish my milk I just sit up and wave bye bye and then Mummy puts me in bed.
I am very happy because tomorrow my friends are coming to my place to play and Daddy will be home and he is going to meet all my friends for the first time. I wonder if they can all walk as well now??? I will tell you all about it tomorrow.

Yesterday Daddy took me out for coffee!!!! Of course I don't drink coffee, just in case you were wondering.........I had some apple pieces instead. Daddy's friend Nigel came as well and they had a great time showing me off and lots of girls stopped by me to tell Daddy how gorgeous I was. Even Nigel was asking Daddy if he could borrow me some times becasue I sure do attract a lot of nice looking girls!!!!! After that we went to a beautiful park with lots of green grass and I liked to chase the birds and ducks. These are the first ducks I have seen in real life!!! Normally I see them in my books and Mummy always points to them and says..."Whats that???" So then I say..."duh", silly mummy doesn't know what they are because she is always asking me. Come to think of it, mummy doesn't really know many animals because she always asks me "what is it" and tries to get me to say it!!!!
After that we came home as Daddy said he didn't feel very well, so then I played with my walker and walked all over the house with it. I am really fast and I can turn corners as well. Sometimes I like to find Daddy's wallet and then I love to pull all the cards out of them and then I hang onto all the little bits of paper I find in there and put them in little hiding spots all over the house.

Well, it has been a very long time since I wrote in my diary. To all my avid readers I am very sorry, but I have been such a busy girl!!! Firstly, I went on holiday with Mummy and Daddy and it was great fun. I even liked the long drive in the car and didn't complain once.....it was a bit different on the way home and I let Mummy and daddy know I was not happy abpout sitting in my car seat with lots of yelling and crying!!!! In Pemberton, Daddy worked in the daytimes so Mummy took me on very long walks into the forest and sometimes into the town. I saw lots of pretty coloured birds and lots and lots and lots of trees!!!! Then we would have lunch with Daddy and then after lunch Mummy would play with me and we would go on another big long walk....usually it was the same walk as we did in the moning time as Mummy said we had to look for the socks that I kept losing by throwing them out of my pram. In one week I lost 3 pairs of socks...just one sock from each set!!! Mummmy said next time she will put odd socks on me and then when I lose one at least I will have a pair....my Mummy is very clever sometimes!!!

It was nice when we got home to our house and I really liked to see my bedroom again. Last Sunday was Fathers Day and I bought Daddy a jean jacket and he said I have such good taste for a little baby!!! I even picked a nice card as well...that was easy as Mummy just held me in front of all the cards and whichever one I picked first she bought. I am a very good shopper!!!

Anyway, I've been saving my best news for last.....I can WALK!!!!!! I just stood up on my own and I was off. I know I have been able to take a few steps for a while but now when I fall over I just get back up again and keep on walking. I am so clever!! I showed all my friends how to do it as well and even they thought I was clever. Oh yeah, and I also now have 6 teeth!!!!! Well, I will write more tomorrow.

Bonjour,
onight we went to Aunty Jane's house and watched a very important football game. It was Eagles versus Fremantle and Fremantle won so Granddad and Nanny are not going to be very happy about that as they love the Eagles!!! My friend Jordan was there and it was so good to see her. We both got very tired and had to have a sleep and then Mummy and Daddy came and got me to take me home. Tommorow we are going on a holiday and we have to go in the car for 5 hours. Mummy and Daddy are very nervous about me going in the car for that long as I normally get very bored after 1 hour....oh well we will see what happens. Mummy said we are going to see reallly tall trees....the tallest trees I have ever seen in my whole life....(that is a whole 10 months in case you have forgotten) Its going to be great fun!!! Sasha has to stay with Nanny and Grand dad as she is not allowed to come with us. I am going to really, really miss her !!!!

Yesterday Mummy and I and Ella and her Mummy went for a really long walk so that we could play at Charlie's house. Sasha also came with and she ran next to my pram and not Ella's because she is MY sister!!!! Sometimes Mummy had to stop as I kept throwing my hat onto the pavement and then Sasha would stop and wait as well. It was a really, really long way and when we got to Charlies I had lunch. I had pumpkin soup and bread and some apple and had great fun playing with my friends. I tried to show them how to take some steps so they could be as clever as me but they were't very interested. Ella and I are trying to teach Charlie to crawl because he doesn't know how or maybe he is just happy to watch Ella and I crawl around. Sometimes we go and get him toys to play with. Then Madeleine came as well and guess what everybody her hair is now long enough to have a little clip in it......I cant wait till I can wear one in my hair when it is long enough. Charlie's hair is long but his Mummy hasn't put one in his hair yet....Im not sure why!!! We listened to our Mummies talk about our birthdays because Madeleine is going to be 1 in 2 weeks and it sounds like it is going to be so much fun.
Then we had to do the really long walk home and I fell asleep on the way because I was so tired.

Bonjour,
Mummy has been so busy lately and hasn't been able to help me type in my diary. She says it is because I am like a "mini cyclone" now and can destroy a room in minutes and then she has to tidy it all up again. ( What is a cyclone???) Sometimes I try to help her clean up and when she puts all my books back on the bookshelf, I pull them all down again. I also empty all the toys out of my toybox right after she has picked them up as well. Its a game I like to play with Mummy and I can tell she just loves it as well!!! Another of my new favourite game is to throw all the food that Mummy gives me to eat from my highchair onto the floor. The more times I throw it over, the more Mummy gives me more food to throw....its so much fun especially when Sasha waits at the botom to catch things. I now have 5 teeth. I got my latest new one on Saturday and I think I have another one about to arrive soon as well because my gums have been very sore lately and this makes me unhappy. Today I also took 7 steps on my own and walked to Mummy. I got so excited for the last 2 steps that I fell onto her and then I giggle a lot because it was so exciting. Soon I will be able to run as well. Today when my Daddy came home he told Mummy he had to study a lot so I tried to help him by making lots of noises and being as cute as possible but Daddy said that it was pretty hard to concentrate with me saying "ba ba ba ba ba ba " over and over again so then I started banging toys on the floor as they make such a great sound. Then Mummy took me to have my bath as she said my efforts were not very appreciated. (What does appreciated mean???? ) Tomorrow we are going to visit my friends so I will write and tell you all about it.

Sorry i have not written in my diary for so many moons. Aunty Jane is helping me as mummy and daddy are busy. We have new floor! This means lots of space for me to crawl around on - all shiny and clean. We have new carpet too - won't be long before i mess it up though, although i don't think mummy will EVER let me near the carpet with food.
Daddy took some black and white photos of me the other day in the bath and i look just adorable. We will try and send some soon and maybe Aunty Jane will post them on the web.
At the moment i am at family dinner. Aunty Em and Uncle Carl are here too. Daddy stayed behind as he has a very important exam and I have been getting in his way at study time (like with my noise and stuff)!

Finally 2 new teeth arrived on Sunday morning. I now have 2 up the top and 2 down the bottom!!
on Saturday Mummy and I went shopping with Aunty Jane and she bought me my very first pair of sunglasses. They are bright pink and very groovy....(just like Aunty Jane!) and I look so cool in them. The pharmacist had told Mummy it is very important to get babies wearing sunglasses as early as possible so the harmful sun rays don't hurt my eyes but Mummy also says I am very fashionable as well!!! We also bought some for my friend Ella as she is going on holidays soon to a very hot place so she can protect her little eyes as well.
Today is my Nanny's birthday and she is having a litle party this afternoon with her friends and I am going as well. I bought her some flowers and a little book but Mummy helped me pick them out. (Mummy had to also lend me the money because I didn't have any!!!!) Daddy is coming to the party as well so it is going to be great. Hopefully I don't get too tired because when that happens, I get really really grumpy!!!
I better go and have a nap if I am to be at my best this afternoon.

I have some new tricks. The first one is, whenever anyone says"Bonjour" to me, I wave my hand at them. Daddy has also taught me how to tap his hand, he tells me in French to tap his hand and I do it because I am so clever. Mummy has been trying to teach me to clap hands for 3 months and Daddy teaches me in one day how to pat his hand. Mummy thinks she may need to tell me in French how to clap because so far I am only understanding French. Mummy said I have been a very good baby and I am growing too fast. I am now 9 months old and 1 week and I weigh 7.9 kilos (17 pound 9 ounces) and am 70 cm tall. I can take 4 steps and I can walk around the house with my little walker. I can say mum mum and da da and babba and a whole lot more noises that don't really mean anything. My favourite game is "Peek a boo" and "This Little Piggy" and I love getting tickled and chased. I love reading my books and turning the pages and my favourite foods are vegemite or avocado sandwiches, rockmelon, yoghurt, apples, and little broccoli trees!!!! When I don't want anymore of my dinner I love to throw it on the floor for Sasha to eat. (Sasha doesn't like broccoli !!!!) I STILL only have 2 teeth although Mummy keeps saying....any day now there will be more, I really could do with a few more to help me chew steak like Daddy!!!!

Mummy has not been feeling very well and so couldn't write my diary for me and I thought it best to not play on the computer while she was sick and Daddy was just busy looking after me. I was so happy to see Daddy last Sunday morning and we had so much fun playing and giggling, but then on Monday Mummy got Tonsillitis and a virus......I hope I don't get it because she had to stay in bed all day and I would really hate to have to do that. It was funny when Daddy looked after me because he does things different to Mummy. He doesn't make very good rice cereal in the morning, but he makes very nice vegemite and toast!! Also, he is not very good at making sure my clothes are colour co ordinated and sometimes he had to dress me a few times before he got it right. Luckily, Mummy was sick enough to not even worry about that kind of thing!! Also when he feeds me he always forgets to put the bib on me and then after I eat I often have to get dressed again. I dont know if Mummy has noticed but there sure is a lot of washing to be done now! Apart from that he did a very very good job as I was always warm and fed and having lots of fun and Mummy said to him....that is the main thing!!! When Mummy was better we went to a big store and bought a camera that makes movies so I have been a little actress and posing lots for the camera. We are making a movie of me for my Memere and Pepere and all my other lovely Canadian relatives and they will be all so impressed with my acting skills as well as my other talents. I can now take 4 steps all by myself!!!!

I just realised I haven't written in my diary for a little while . This week, I have been to a place called "Go Bananas", it is a indoor play centre for litle people like me except when we went there on Tuesday, I didn't want to leave Mummy's side and I also didn't want to play with anyone even though all my friends were there. I did manage to lose Mummy's car keys though. Luckily Mummy had a spare set with her but unfortunately she didn't know they were lost until the next day and so far they haven't turned up. This week I have felt a little bit grumpy. I am dribbling a lot and really am not in the mood to play on my own and I really prefer it when I can see my Mummy. I don't even like it if she goes into another room. Twice this week in Creche I cried so loud the lady had to go and get Mummy but then I saw her and I was all better again. Mummy said Daddy is coming home tomorrow and I am very excited about that. I have some new tricks to show him, like how I can wave bye bye. I can wave with both hands except when I wave with my left hand I always bang my ear at the same time.....I don't know why, but Mummy said it is pretty funny!!! I can also stand up for even longer and have even taken a couple of steps....wow...he will be so impressed!!!

On Saturday night, Mummy's friend Stephanie and her baby Lenny came over to stay for the night. Lenny is 5 weeks younger but a lot bigger than me and we had lots of fun playing. We even had a bath together!!!!! I splashed him a lot but he didn't like it very much and he cried but I was just trying to have fun. After our bath we played on the carpet and Mummy says I am just like "Little Miss Nosy" because whenever Lenny had something in his hands to play with I would want it and I would go and get it off him. He doesn't know how to crawl yet so It was really easy to get away with it. Mummy said I will have to be careful because one day Lenny is going to be a lot bigger and stronger than me and he will get me back!!!
Today I have been practising my walking and I can now wheel my little walker and walk behind for a few steps before falling over. Also I am a very fast crawler and can crawl all over the house in no time at all. Mummy thinks she should put cloths on my knees and elbows and then I could clean the floor!!!
Mummy told Daddy he better come home soon as I might start walking on y very own and he doesn't want to miss that and besides I can't wait to see him again.

Bonjour,
Today is a very sunny day but still very cold. Mummy is going to take me for a walk along the beach and Sasha can come as well. Yesterday we walked to my friend Will's house and I played with Ella, Jayde and Ben as well. I liked to climb up 2 stairs and then turn around and climb back down. I did this over and over again and it was so much fun. When we walked back to our house I fell asleep in my pram because I was so worn out. Daddy phoned to talk to me yesterday and I like to listen to him, he makes me smile. I am standing up all the time now and I can also bend down and pick a toy up and still be standing up.....I am so clever!!!!! I can also take a step towards Mummy when she puts her arms out. I have to go now as Mummy said we have to go to buy some groceries...yay, that is so much fun!!!

Yesterday was the coldest day in Perth for the last 21 years, very very cold it was. I heard Mummy tell Daddy on the phone ( because he is still in Vietnam...wherever that is!!!) that it was 2 degrees overnight and only reached 12 degrees during the day. Anyway, I hardly noticed as I was warm and cosy playing inside but in the afternoon Mummy took me for a walk to say hello to the flowers and the lemon tree in the backyard and I had to wear a warm hat on my head. This morning I had very messy hair as it is growing and Mummy said soon I will be able to wear a ribbon in it. Mummy has to brush it in the morning and I like to close my eyes while she does it because it feels very funny. I am really missing my Daddy an I can't wait for him to come home.

Well, Mummy and I had a nice relaxing weekend. It is still raining lots and lots and when it is not raining, Mummy takes Sasha and I to the park, that is now my favourite time of the day. There is just so much to look at and I sit up staight and take it all in. Sometimes Mummy goes really fast and Sasha runs along beside us and it's even harder to look at everything because everything goes by so much faster...(that's because my Mummy is such a fast runner!!!!) I started waving at everything as well. Usually I wave though long after the people who have been waving at me have gone and sometimes I sit in the lounge room and wave at Sasha sitting outside the window. Aunty Jane stayed over on Saturday night and I made her giggle at me because I can do very funny facial expressions. I have also been eating lots of different things as well. On Friday Mummy gave me a piece of steak thinking that I would just suck the good juices out of it and she said for a little baby with only 2 teeth I sure did give it a good chomping on and it was barely recognisable when she took it back......too much information, I know!!!!!

Today I was sad as Daddy has to go away to work again. He has gone to Vietnam......not sure where it is but it sounds far away!. So it is just Mummy and I again for a little while....oh yeah, and Sash, but she is a dog and Mummy says dogs are lower down on the scale from Mummy's and babies and Sash needs to remember she is a dog and not a human sometimes!!!! Today I went on my first ever train ride into the city. It was pouring with rain and windy as well but Mummy and I went on the train and it was fun. I sat in my pram the whole way in and tried to get the lady sitting next to Mummy to look at me by pulling the best of my cutest faces at her.....although she didn't say, I think she thought I was the cutest baby she had ever seen!!!!!!!! We went walking about the city and I looked at so many interesting things, lots of kids running around, lots of shops, lots of rain, more rain and even more rain!!!! I was all rugged up in my pram and was very cosy and didn't get wet from the rain once. On the way home another baby like me was sitting next to us on the train, and her name was Josie and she tried to grab my ears and her Daddy told her to "be gentle!!!!......what is "gentle"...I hear it all the time as Mummy and Daddy always say to me "Be gentle"...I don't know what it is , anyway, Josie didn't know either, oh well, it must not be very important because how do they expect us babies to understand anyway!!!!
So that was a pretty fun day and I am so tired from my big excursion.

Bonjour,
I have been a very good baby even though I have had a very runny nose. Daddy took me to a guitar shop on Saturday and all the workers in there said I was very cute but Daddy had to hold me because I wanted to play with all the guitars everywhere but Daddy said they are not for little babies like me to play with and I could only just look at them. It is fun having Daddy home and I like to now be very adventurous and crawl all over the house to find him. Before, I would only crawl around in the room that Mummy and Daddy were in, but I have discovered a whole new world out there......outside of where they place me to play!!! I have noticed that wherever I go, they follow me anyway, so it is a great new game. Last night I stayed over at Nan and Grandpa's house and I slept through the whole night....(not sure why Mummy thinks that is such a big deal!!!!) I listened to the lovely music and played with Nan's knitting bag and lot's of other little things they always give me to play with. Today Mummy said she is going to take me for a walk along the beach as it is the only day in a long time where rain isn't pouring down.

Well, still no teeth!!!! Mummy tells me they will be here any day, but I'm not sure as she has been saying that for a while! I now have a bad cough as well as a runny nose, but Mummy and Daddy say I have been a very good girl even though I am not feeling very well. It is still raining and raining and raining....all day long so we have been staying inside a lot, but the lucky thing is that I have Daddy to climb all over and he is very funny. I have a new game with him, I crawl very very fast as fast as I can to reach him and when I get to him I place my head on the carpet and close my eyes and he thinks I am falling asleep....but I am only tricking, but I don't think he knows that because he is very very silly!!
Also it was my 8 months old birthday on Sunday and so yesterday I had to go and get weighed and checked out a bit. I now weigh 7.5 kg and have grown 2.5 cm in one month. I had only put on 300 grams, but that is OK as it is because I move a lot and Mummy said that I save lots of money as we don't need to buy me new clothes as I still fit the clothes I have een wearing since I was only 3 months old.

I think I am getting some more teeth because I have not been very happy for the last 2 nights and have been waking up a lot in the night...sometimes every hour and crying because they hurt. During the day I am pretty happy though as my Daddy has been home and we have been having so much fun. He came to get me out of the cot at Angus's party and I gave him my best " Where have you been"??? look!!!!!! It was lucky he was there because I was having one of those days when only Mummy could hold me and when I saw Daddy I let him hold me as well. After that we came home and played at our house and watched the rain from the window. Today Daddy is looking after me for a little while in the morning and i dont know what we are doing but I am sure it will be FUN!!

Bonjour,
Yesterday Mummy took me to a place called "Go Banana's", it was kind of like the Fun Station that I went to not long ago. My friend Will was there and I had great fun watching all the other kids running around and playing and I crawled around a lot and played in the coloured ball pit again. After that we we went to Mummy's work friend Katy's house for afternoon tea........I had milk though, no tea for me!!!! Katy's house was great because she had lot's of things I'm not supposed to play with, like stereo's and cd's and remote controls. Only problem was, everytime I got even close to all of that stuff I was quickly whisked away and placed in front of my own toys......How boring!!!! Anyway, I was a good girl and all Mummy's colleagues said I was very cute and funny. When we got home, Aunty Jane had come over to stay and she gave me my bath and put me to bed so Mummy could have a rest. I showed her all my tricks in the bath and how clever I am at standing up and how loud I can bang my plastic boats on the side of the bath and how often I can throw them overboard so she has to bend down to pick them up and put them back in the bath. I like to do this at least 50 times. After that I went to bed but first of all had a little chat with all of my toys who sit on the shelf above my bed and then that is all I remmeber of yesterday. Today Daddy is going to meet us at Angus's party, I am very excited.

Bonjour,
Yesterday we stayed home all day long because Mummy didn't feel very well, so I made sure I was an extra good girl for her!!!! Also, it rained and rained all day long and sometimes it was really, really windy and I wasn't sure what was making all the noises but Mummy said it was because the wind was banging everything, especially the garden shed door, it went bang, bang, bang all day long because the wind had broken it. Mummy said, it felt just like her head, bang, bang, bang all day long!!!! The highlight of our day was walking out to the letterbox to check the mail. We do this everyday and now I start bending to see the letters before we even get close to the letterbox. Mummy said I am very funny!!! Sometimes Mummy lets me try to grab the letters, but not today she said because we had to be quick incase it rained on us and so we couldn't spare the 15 minutes it normally takes me!!!!!!
Today Mummy says she is a little bit better but just in case I am going to try to be good again ALL day long. Mummy is trying to see if I am getting a cold as well because everytime Mummy coughs, I cough as well. It's a new game I have thought of called "Copy Mummy". I think it's really fun but sometimes I think Mummy is pretending to cough to see if I will copy her.......and I always do and then she laughs, ha ha ha!!! Tomorrow Daddy will be home and I am going to Angus's 2nd birthday party. Daddy is going to meet us there and it's going to be great fun.

Today I went to creche and had so much fun. I also have a new boyfriend , he is 2 yrs old and his name is Thomas. He kept giving me little cuddles and whenever my dummy fell out, he gave it back to me. We played with toys together and he kept calling me "baby"! I wanted to tell him my name is Sophie, but I dont know how! When we came home I played by the window again and banged my hands on the ledges and talked to the flowers outside. Today Sasha sat on the other side of the window and I kept waving to her. Tonight I will be going to see Nan and Grandpa and Aunty Em and Uncle Carl and Aunty Jane will be there as well. I am going to have my bath there instead of at my house and I can't wait. I really miss my Daddy now as he has been gone for a long time and I cn't wait for him to come home and tickle me again and make me giggle.

My Daddy didn't come home today and now Mummy says it wont be until next Sunday!!!! That is sooooooo far away for a little baby like me to wait. My Nan showed me a photo that had my Daddy and I in it and when she pointed to Daddy I actually said...."Da da"!!! I am so clever!!!! Mummy kept me busy today and we went on a really big walk in the pram with my friend Charlie and his Mummy. It was so long that Charlie and I had to have a sleep on the way there and on the way back. We walked to Ella's house to have lunch and I ate a little bit of Avocado and some chicken and bread. I didn't eat very much as I've not been very hungry lately but I played lots with all the other babies. Mummy was holding Ella and playing a game with her and I got jealous so I cried and crawled to Mummy's legs and pulled myself up and I wanted her to hold me and not Ella and I didn't want Ella's Mummy to hold me either. Sometimes if I can't see Mummy I crawl around to find her and I call out "Mummmmmmm", "Mummmmm" and then when I find her, Mummy says to me, "Did you say Mum', and then I look at her and say "Da da"!!!! Mummy says I am doing it on purpose but I dont know what on purpose is!!!!! Anyway she says it is funny and she is going to have to remember to tell Daddy about it. Bonjour,
I had a really big sleep last night, from 5.45pm until 6.45am.....all that dreaming!!!! Mummy said one more sleep like that and then Daddy will be home to play with me again, I am so excited I can hardly stop slapping my hands on my legs.
Yesterday Mummy took me for a walk in the pram and we went to visit Lally, I crawled around and explored and then I ate some toast, it was very yummy. When we came home it rained and rained all day long so Mummy and I played by the window and watched it and I put my little hand prints all over the windows, sometimes Mummy showed me my books and I look at all the pictures but I am not too interested in them at the moment as there is just way too many exciting things I could be putting in my mouth. Mummy said I am so clever and can find the smallest of objects on the floor.....even after she has cleaned it for me and she also wanted to know why when I have so many toys to play with do I always want to play with keys, remote controls and mobile phones!!!!!

Yesterday morning when I woke up from my nap Mummy put the telephone to my ear and I listened to my Memere's voice. She has a very nice voice and she made me smile. I was missing my Daddy as well and I wanted Mummy to play with me a lot today. My friend Will, Jayde, Ben and Ella came over in the afternoon to play with me but then I tried to climb on to the stereo speaker and I fell over and bumped my head and I cried and cried and cried as it really hurt. After that I didint want to play anymore and I just wanted to sit with Mummy until I felt better. Today I am staying with Nan and Grandpa for a little while and I like to listen to their music. Mummy said their music is very good for baby's brains to develop as it is called "Classical" and not like Daddy's music which Mummy said is just "loud"!!!!! I also like to listen to my French Lullabyes CD and sometimes it makes me sleepy.

Bonjour,
Today I discovered the whole new world of cupboards!!!!! I crawled down the hallway and found one with lots of towels in it and then when I was crawling in the kitchen and trying to grip onto Mummy's legs, I found lots of them. Lots and lots and lots more tupperware for me to play with not just the few bits Mummy always gives me. Then when I was bored with cupboards I crawled up to the big blue pots and climbed up to see what was in side.....my favourite dark stuff. Mummy said it is dirt and yucky for little babies but I love to play with it!!!!! Today I went to the creche again but I was excited because Mummy said my friend Ella was going to now be going to creche as well and I couldn't wait to see her. When my Mummy and Ella's Mummy came to pick us up we were both in the port -a -cot's playing with some toys, but I had gotten bored with this and when Ella fell down I tried to stand on her head so I could be that little bit taller and reach the top of the port a cot. Mummy said that wasn't a very nice thing to do to Ella but as she wan't crying I didin't think she would mind if I used her head as a step ladder!!!!!! When we came home Mummy and I played and I had lunch.....Pumpkin and beef mince....mmmmmm, yum!!!! I was so happy because I didn't have to go to bed straight away as finally Mummy has realised I am not that tired in the day....(even though she might be!!!!) I eventually had a quick 30 minute sleep and then Mummy, Sasha and I went for a walk. I love to watch the cars go by and Sasha run fast in front. Mummy said Sasha was running even faster than normal as she had had a bath and all the dirt and lots of her hair came off her!!!
I am happy tonight because Daddy rang to say he would be home on Sunday and not Thursday...(not that I know the difference) but I think Sunday is sooner so I get to see him earlier!!!!! Tonight I brushed my teeth again with my very own toothbrush, I started doing this yesterday and it makes me giggle especially when Mummy brushes her teeth at the same time.

Bonjour,
Last night, I woke up a lot again, just like the night before. I just didn't feel like being in my cot at all. In the morning...(even though it was still dark outside) ....Daddy came and got me and we played in the lounge room for a little while until I got really, really, really hungry and then he had to take me to Mummy so I could have milk. I played in Mummy and Ddady's big bed with Daddy's watch and I love to brush my 2 little teeth with the velcro on the band, it feels so funny!!!!! Today Mummy and I went to the gym and I went to creche, but after a little while the nice lady who looks after me at creche had to go and get my Mummy because I was so sad and I was crying really really loud. I even had real tears. The lady told my Mummy she just didn't know what was wrong with me and maybe I had some little pains in my tummy. I really just wanted my Mummy because as soon as I saw her I stopped crying. I dont think Mummy was too impressed, but what does she expect from a 7 and a half month old !!!!!!

I am very sorry I haven't been able to write in my diary lately because Mummy said our computer has not working properly and Daddy is trying to get it fixed up. Anyway, I have been a busy little girl as always and I have also been very good for my Mummy and Daddy. On Saturday I played with Daddy. I liked playing with Daddy he always makes me giggle and he tickles me a lot. Aunty Jane came over and gave me my bath and I noticed Mummy and Daddy were dressed up and Mummy smelt nice and then Aunty Jane gave me my bottle and Mummy and Daddy disappeared. In the morning, Aunty Jane was still at our house and so we went to Fremantle to visit Irene and baby Jordan. I fell asleep in the car and I woke up a little bit cranky and didn't feel like playing with Jordan much. I enjoyed sitting on the back lawn and trying to eat leaves though. After that Mummy and Aunty Jane and I went out for lunch and I was very good and smiled at everyone walking passed and ate all my lunch and even sat quietly in my pram when Mummy and Jane ate their lunch. Aunty Jane wanted to know if I liked "Chilli Mussels" but Mummy said I was too little for that and I ended up just chomping on somes peices of bread!!!! I had another nap on the way home as I had had so much fun all day and I was very tired. I went to bed very early at 6pm and slept all the way till 6.30am, I did lots of dreaming.

Last night I slept all night again and didn't wake up once, unlike the night before when I woke up 5 times and wanted to play!!!!!! Yesterday I went to play at Nan and Grandpa's house. I liked sitting in the kitchen on the floor and pulling all the tupperware out of Nan's cupbpoards.....and today, I discovered pots and pans!!!! For lunch I had my first taste of vegemite!!!!!!! I really liked it, but then I will eat anything you give me at the moment, I would even eat paper and dirt if it was available to me!!! Mummy said that Memere and Pepere wouldn't eat vegemite and they think it tastes yucky, all of my Canadian relatives don't like it but I am sure Cousin Justin would like it because he is a baby like me and babies like everything!!!!!
I still have a runny nose and I really hate having it wiped. I still only have 2 teeth so any day now I am expecting a new one to pop up. I'd really like another tooth as I am trying really hard to chew stuff and the 2 that I have are not much good on their own.

Bonjour,
Today Mummy went to the gym and I went to creche. I like going to creche as there are lots of toys to play with. Today there were lots of boys at creche and all bigger than me. When Mummy came to pick me up I had 4 little boys surrounding me as I was trying to play, one of them was even trying to hug me while the others were trying very hard to get me to play with them and kept showing me different toys. The ladies that look after me in the creche told me that one of the little boys Mummies came to pick him up and he cried becuase he was going to leave me behind, he even asked his Mummy "Can we buy that baby, Mummy" and his Mummy said, "No" and he cried and cried and cried because he had to leave. I was glad when my Mummy came to get me as I started to get tired and was ready for a nice big sleep. When I wake up we are going to Rhys's house and then also it is Uncle Carls Birthday today and we might go to his house to say Happy Birthday to him.

Bonjour,
The last couple of days was called, "the weekend"!!! I like "the weekend". I wasn't sure what it was, but I heard Daddy telling Mummy that he wasn't working on "the weekend" and he would be home for 2 days in a row and there would be lot's of playing with me!!!! It was great, I loved him being home so much, that yesterday I started saying...."da,da,da,da,da." over and over again. Mummy tried to get me to say "ma,ma,ma,ma" but I didn't feel like it. I like to stand at the window and say "da da da over and over again and I like to bang my hand on the couch and da da da da da, it's so much fun. When I woke up this morning, I yelled out, da,da,da and then Mummy came in to get me and she keeps saying ma,ma, ma and then I laugh because she sounds so funny.
Yesterday Daddy and Mummy took me to a big huge park called Kings Park. There was so much to look at, lots of little people were running around and playing and there was lots of trees and lots and lots of nice green grass. I was so excited when I got out of my pram and got to play on the grass, I just didn't know what to put in my mouth first, a leaf, a piece of bark or a big chunk of grass. I didn't get very far with eating any of them and had to settle with one of my rusks instead.
Last night I woke up a lot in the night and then today I have another runny nose. It was very cold today and I had to wear a lot of warm clothes. Tommorow I am going to Rhys's house to play and I can't wait to say da,da,da,da at all my friends.

Bonjour,
I did have fun at the"Fun Station" yesterday. There was lots of things for me to play with and my favourite was the big box filled with little coloured soft balls. I sat in there and tried to fit as many of those balls in my hands and mouth but there was just too many there. My friends Will and Jayde were there but they are bigger than me and can play in lots of places. Mummy got very mad at a little boy who kept trying to bang into me as he was very rough and it made me very sad. Mummy also told him off because he had shoes on and your not supposed to have shoes on and not only that Mummy said he was at least 3 and a half years old and you are meant to be under 2 years old to play in the babies section. The little boy pulled a face and Mummy told him he was very naughty and had no manners and she was going to tell his Mummy but of course his Mummy was nowhere to be seen!!!! I really liked to watch the other kids running around and playing but I stayed close to Mummy's leg because once I pulled myself up on the leg of another Mummy and I was so surprised when I looked up and it wasn't my Mummy!!!!!
I was very tired when we came home and had a sleep. I was so tired I didn't even eat any lunch. For dinner I had a lamb bone and I chewed on it for ages. It had a little bit of meat on it and it was so yummy. I also ate potatoes and apple.....(not mixed together !!) When daddy came home he filmed me playing so he can send it to Memere and Pepere. Then I was very happy because Pepere had sent me an email and Daddy read it to me, he is funny as well, just like Daddy!!!!

Mummy said I was a very good girl yesterday even though I woke her up 4 times in the night and wouldn't sleep past 6 am. I told her, you can't be good all the time!!!!! Anyway, I made up for it and slept for 1 and half hours in the morning and 2 and a half hours in the afternoon!!!! When I woke up Mummy had made me a "gourmet" lunch. I ate a little bit of salmon and lots of avocado and banana mushed together. I love avocado so much, I even ate more of it for dinner. In one whole day I ate almost half of one. I like it because I can eat it with my fingers and I can wipe it all over the tray of my highchair and then smear it all over my face, it just feels so nice.
Last night Cam and Caz and Angus came over to play and I had just had my bath. I had fun crawling around after Angus. He is a big boy as he can walk but he kept crawling and copying me and then just when I thought I couldn't possibly be having any more fun.........Daddy came home and I was so excited I started banging my hands on my legs really fast and laughing so much except he smelt a bit funny. Mummy said it was "diesel" as he had been working very hard and he had to shower before he could play with me any more, I wanted to have a shower as well but I was already "squeeky"clean and smelling pretty. I ended up going to bed at 7pm and slept all the way till 6.20am. Mummy says today we are going to a place called "The Fun Station", I'm not sure what it is but it has my favourite word in it so its going to be GREAT!!! I will write and tell you all about it.

Guess what, I am so excited as I received 2 emails. One from Memere and Pepere and one from Grande Canadian Ma Tante Gisele. Gisele is my Memere's sister....Mummy said she is known as "the favourite one"!!!!! I cant wait to meet her as well as all my other relatives that Mummy and Daddy are always talking about.
Yesterday I went to Nan and Grandpas house with Sasha to play for a little while. I had fun crawling around on the floor and now I can crawl up one stair as well. Its easy to get up but I can't get down without falling and then I get upset. When we got home, Mummy realised she had left Sasha behind. I knew we had left her as she wasn't in the back seat with me and her tail wasn't wagging in my face....which I was quite happy about!!! I tried to tell Mummy but she was too busy looking after me, so we had to go back and get Sasha in the afternoon.
For lunch I ate blueberries and apples mixed with oats, so yummy! When I woke up from my sleep, Mummy and I played. I like to hold on to a spoon in one hand a rusk in the other and then I take turns on what I want to chew on. I went in the "jolly jumper" as well and I loved hanging out and swinging around. I can also watch Mummmy run around doing things she runs around the house with a long stick brushing the floor...I dont know why she does that....it looks like fun. I think she said it is called sweeping and mopping and when I am much bigger I can do it as well.....I can hardly wait for that!!!!

PS: Last night I stayed up a bit later and after my bath Daddy came home to play with me. He is so funny and he pretended to chase me around the loungeroom. Daddy is clever like me because he knows how to crawl as well!!!! Even Sasha tried to play. I had so much fun.

Yesterday I stayed home with Daddy in the morning when Mummy went to the gym. I was so excited to see him in the morning when I woke up, we just played and played and played. Then we went to the park with Sasha and then a little bit of rain dropped and Daddy had to run very fast with me in the pram to get home so we wouldn't get wet. (We went so fast, the trees became green blurs!!!!) After my nap, we went to Charlie's house, but only Charlie and Madeline were there as Rhys, Ella and Hayley all had bad colds. I had Charlie all to myself because Madeline really likes just lying in the one place and looking around the room. Charlie is so much fun, I like to grab the dummy out of his mouth and take off with it, but he gets very upset so Mummy gave me one of my own to have instead! I had pumpkin soup for lunch but I didn't want to eat it as there were way too many toys to be played with. I also had a bit of bread for the first time. It was so yummy. All that playing made me so tired and we had to leave in a big hurry as Mummy said it sounded like I was going to "scream the house down". Everyone commented on what great lungs I have!!!!
When I woke up again, Mummy, Daddy and I went to the big shop and I sat in the front of the trolley. There is so much to look at and sometimes a lot of people (mostly older women, Mummy says) stop by to say how clever I am that I can sit up in the trolley all by myself. I wondered if I should show them how good my lungs were as well as I wanted them to move away from my sight as there was so much colourful fruit and vegetables to be looked at!!!!!! When we came home Nan and Grandpa had dropped in as they were on their way back from holidays except I was very tired by then and didn't want to play or smile for that matter. I didn't even want much dinner and then after my bath and a bit more of a demonstration with my lungs I went straight to sleep and woke up 11 and a half hours later. I am not sure what I am doing today, but I am sure it will be great fun.

Bonjour,
Today I was an extra good girl, to make up for yesterday. First of all, I slept last night for 11 and a half hours straight and did lots of dreaming!!! I only stayed awake for 1 hour before I went back to bed and slept for another 2 and a half hours. When I woke up we went to visit Andrew and Laura. They had 2 kittens and I liked to watch them running around. I also liked crawling around and finding things to play with. I kept finding lots of interesting things, but Mummy kept taking them off me. After my sleep in the afternoon we then went to visit Trish and Aaron. I crawled around for ages and tried to rip up their newspaper. There was 2 other little people there although they were a bit bigger than me as they could walk and I can only crawl so far!! The other 2 little people kept trying to pick me up and they liked to squeeze me. I think they thought I was one of their toy dolls. Tonight we also went to Lally's house and I had my dinner there. I had my first taste of chicken and I chewed on a chicken leg (without the chicken) and I liked to chew on it. It was even better than chewing on my rusk. I think that will be my new favourite food. I played lots at Lally's and I was smiling and being really cute. When I came home I played with my toy boats in the bath and then I still wanted to play some more after my bath so Mummy let me stay up a bit later tonight and crawl after Sasha in the loungeroom. Tomorrow I have three things to look forward to. First of all, Daddy will be here by the time I wake up in the morning, then I get to see all my friends tomorrow at playgroup and also Nan and Grandpa are coming home from their holiday so I might see them as well. I better get lots of sleep as tomorrow will be so busy!!!!!!

Bonjour,
Well, our computer has been very naughty and wont let me write anymore. We will have to wait till Daddy comes home so he can get it fixed up again. Mummy said Daddy had been working very hard and will be home tomorrow now and I am so excited. I will be asleep when he comes home but when I wake up he will come to play with me. yay, yay, yay!!!!!
Today and yesterday was very cold. Mummy took me for a walk in the pram yesterday and I had to wear a fleecy jumper and fleecy hat with my denim jeans and also wore fleecy socks with my little Canadian shoes. We went to the shops and Mummy bought groceries and on the way back I had a sleep, even though I had just had a sleep after that I stayed awake for the whole day. I had a yummy rusk in the afternoon and I enjoyed chomping away on it for hours, it was so yummy!!!!! Mummy played with me in the bath and I like to splash in the water now, it is so much fun. I even splashed Mummy and made her laugh, so then I laughed as well.
Today, Aunty Jane came over and we watched football and she is staying overnight. We played during my bath tonight then she washed my hair. I dont have much hair.....(Mummy says I have a hairstyle like Pepere!!!!) After, Aunty Jane tried to dress me and I cried and cried and cried. In fact, Mummy said that she wouldn't be surprised if Aunty Jane never wanted children of her own as I did enough loud crying to put anyone off!!!!!! After my "expression session" I did my best smiles and went to bed like a good girl.

It has been a couple of days since I last wrote because our computer hasn't been working properly but now it is all better. I am also feeling a litle bit better but I still have a bit of a runny nose and now I have a cough. It is a different cough from the one I use to get attention though. Now let me think, what have I been doing.......On Wednesday, Mummy took me to the Child Health Clinic for my 7 month check up as it was my 7 months old birthday yesterday!!!! Mummmy had to take my clothes of and I didn't want to so I cried and then they put me on the scales and I now weigh 7.2 kg which is 15 lbs 14 oz...(Mummy had to tell me that as I couldn't work it out!!!) I am also 65.7 cm tall!!! The nurse said I was a very smart little girl because I can do lots of things, I wanted to say, "of course I am smart....I have my own on line diary"!!!!!! I also had a hearing test which I also passed. The clinic nurse is from Canada and she is really nice and Mummmy said half my family is from Canada....even Daddy and my Memere and Pepere and Cousin Justin whom I cant wait to meet!! When we came home I slept a lot.
On Thursday Mummy and Daddy took me to the Doctors as my cough was getting bad and my ear was hurting a bit which is why I always pulled on it. I didn't want to laugh or play either I just wanted Mummy to carry me everywhere all day long. The Doctor was nice and said I have to have baby panadol to make me feel better. I started to feel better in the middle of the night and then I didn't want to sleep at all so I kept crying for Mummy and Daddy to come and play with me. Daddy had to go to the airport when it was still dark because Mummy said he has to go away to work again. That makes me so sad!! He will be back in 5 more "big"sleeps!
I'm going to have lunch now and I think it's my favourit, zucchini,carrots and potato!!! Yum Yum

Bonjour,
I had a runny nose today and I've not really felt my best today. I dont feel like smiling at all. Last night I woke up a lot as my nose was blocked and it was hard to sleep and this morning it was running liek a tap. I hate it when Mummy wipes my nose. I just see her going for the pink kleenex box and I start crying as I know what is coming. She even tried to wipe it with a warm flannel and I hate that as well. Then my nose got all red so Mummy keeps putting cream on it. I get cream on my bottom as well when that is red. Today we went to my friend Hayley's house and my other friends were there as well. I played with Charlie, he is a lot bigger than me but I am faster than him at getting toys. Sometimes I get toys for him but he doesnt really want them so I kind of throw them on him and then he cries. Mummy said I need to be more gentle!!!!! I dont know what gentle is though. We came home early as I was very tired. When I woke up from my nap, Daddy was home as well and then we played together as Mummy went somewhere......probably to get stuff I always need. She came home with lots of bags and I liked sitting on the floor in the kitchen while she unpacked them all until they were all gone. After my bath tonight I played in the loungeroom with Daddy and Sasha. Daddy does silly things and I giggled but then I felt so sleepy I had to get ready for bed.

Yesterday Mummy, Daddy and I went to Natasha and Paul's house for lunch. They didn't have any little babies for me to play with, they only have Tex and she is like Sasha. I liked watching Tex and Sasha playing, they both wanted to chew on the same yellow ball. I really wanted that yellow ball as well and thought it would be good to chew on seeing as they both liked it so much. Everytime I got almost close to it though Mummy and Daddy would throw it away from me and would give me this red plastic thing which wasn't as much fun. Then they gave me a yummy rusk and I loved chewing, chewing, chewing away on that, but then I dropped it and Tex ran off with it. I wasn't very happy about that. I had a nice sleep in my portacot but I really liked looking around the room as it was a room I had never slept in before. When I woke up I played with a little toy that made noises and giggled a lot because Daddy was being funny and he tickled me a lot. Then we came home and I had a bath and tried to drink the water but Mummy doesn't want me to do that and then I tried to stand up and Mummy doesn't want me to do that either........(all the really fun stuff I cant do!!!!) When I got out of the bath I like to crawl on the carpet with no clothes on. Daddy calls it "naked time"!!!! Its so much fun and I am able to crawl very fast away from Mummy who tries to follow me with my nappy. When Mummy catches me she puts clothes on me and then I know I am going to have milk (yum) and then I am going to have to go to sleep.

Yesterday was a very busy day. First of all I slept through the whole night again and Mummy said I am such a good girl!!! After breakfast I played with my toys, but mostly I like to play with things that are'nt toys, like spoons. I can play with a spoon for a very long time and not even get sick of it. When I was having my morning nap, Daddy came home and was a bit noisy and then the next door neighbour came over and they talked loud and woke me up......I wanted to get up and play then as I thought I was missing out on something fun!!!! Mummy tried to get me to sleep again but "No way" I said, I'm not tired anymore. Then Mummy, Daddy and I went to a big Shopping Centre. We went in the car and I laughed a lot because Daddy kept turning around and pulling funny faces and I think it is so funny. Mummy told him to keep is eye on the road but I prefer when he looks at me. I sat in my pram and watched lots of people walking around everywhere and then we went into a big store and bought me a "jolly jumper". Then I remembered that I was actually tired from being woken up before during my nap, so I started crying so Mummy or Daddy could pick me up.
When we got home I had lunch and I had my first taste of beef. In fact I ate "meat and 3 veg" all mixed up together. It was yummy and then I had a nice long sleep.
When I woke up I played in the "jolly jumper". It is so much fun and I like to swing in it back and forth and then I jump up and down. When Sasha walks past, I look bigger than her for a change as I am standing up...(almost).
Then Cam, Caz and Angus came over and I played with Angus. Mummy cooked dinner for everybody so Daddy bathed me and then I went to sleep very fast after I had yummy milk and slept 12 and a half hours without waking up once!!!!!!
That is all for now, I am so tired from reliving yesterdays activities again.......I need another nap.

Hi everyone, guess what? My Daddy is home!!! I was very happy to see him, and I was a real good girl the whole time I was with him, I giggled all morning for him and did not cry even once! He had to go to a meeting this morning for his work, I dont understand what work is but it must be fun c'ause he spends lots of time there, and somehow it keeps me in nappies...
I went for a stroll with mum today in the Adventure Buggy and I did not even cry, this is a big deal as I usually love to cry lots in that pram. I like to watch Sasha run ahead of us, she like to wee everywhere. Mummy says she is incontinent, what is incontinent??? We visited Nan and Granpa and when we came back I had a little nap c'ause I was kind of tired.
When Daddy came back Aunty Emilly dropped in, I was a happy girl then as well c'ause Daddy was playing airplane with me, I think I like airplane it is my favorite game. Mummy told him to not rev me up c'ause it was getting close to bed time. We had a shower and I giggled alot, I like showers with Dad c'ause he likes to be silly, Mummy says he is good at being silly. Well I just had my last bottle and I am going to go to sleep now until late tomorrow morning. Just kidding I will probably wake up really early before the sun comes up c'ause it is fun to see Mummy and Daddys expression, they are funny looking early in the morning especially Daddy.
Good night everyone I look forward to writing all my days events tomorrow, I think Daddy is taking me out in the afternoon probably somewhere where he can show me off ( most likely in a cd shop), he says women really find him attractive when I am around and Mummy likes the break, as I take alot of her time.

I don't know why it is such a big deal, but according to my Mummy's reaction it is a very BIG deal. So much so she asked if I could do it every night. She doesn't expect much does she!!!!!! I told her that I'm not making any promises!
Nan and Grandpa came to look after me as Mummy had to go out in the morning, I cried when she walked out, but then I forgot all about her and they took me for a walk to the park. After my nap, Mummy took me to Ben's house for his birthday and I played with Jayde and Ella and Will. I crawled around and played with toys and then I was so tired I fell asleep all the way home in the car. Tonight when I am sleeping Daddy is coming home and when I wake up in the morning I get to see him. I am so excited!!!!! Tomorrow I am going to play with him all day!!!

Hello,
I got an early start on the day and woke up at 6.30am, had a little play in my cot and talked to all my lovely toy friends on the shelves above my cot until I got so hungry I couldn't talk to them anymore. Then I cried and guess what happened.....Mummy came in to get me!!! I was very happy to see her. After breakfast and my nap, Mummy took me to a place with lots of other little people like me while she went to exercise. I think she said it was called a creche!!!! I made lots of new friends and the grown ups looking after me thought I was a very small baby and they put me in the "babies that lie on their backs and don't move section"....well, boy were they sorry !!!! I tried to crawl right over the 2 little babies lying happily looking at the walls.....(how boring!!!) and then I turned around and almost sat on one of them. The grown up lady...(like Mummy, but not as nice!!!) was laughing when she told Mummy and said she didn't realise a little baby like me could move so fast. It was fun and I will get to go back there whenever Mummy has exercise classes.
Tonight for dinner I had yummy plain yoghurt and apple and then I had fun splish splashing in the bath. Wow, what a busy day, I better get some sleep now.

I had fun today with my friends Ella, Hayley, Rhys and Madeline. Charlie didn't come over as he wasn't feeling very well. I wasn't feeling that well either and last night I had tummy pains as well as a runny nose. I couldn't sleep from 2am - 4am and was crying, crying,crying and Mummy had to stay awake with me as well. I hope I am all better tommorow. I let my friends play with my toys but sometimes when they have one I want I just grab it right back off them and then they cry. Mummy said I was a little bit of a bully but Sasha had told me to mark my territory !!!!! Then I tried to roll on Rhys and he wasn't very happy about that. The other babies don't know how to crawl like me, apart from Ella as she is a clever baby as well.
Mummy said Daddy will be home in 2 more sleeps but does that mean 2 more sleeps including the sleeps I have in the day as well, or 2 big sleeps when it is dark. I am so confused. Anyway, I can hardly wait and we are going to pick him up at the airport. Yay,Yay,Yay.

Bonjour,
Today the sun came out so Mummy, Sasha and I went to the park. I sat in my pram and watched Sasha the whole time chasing the ball. She sure does run fast!!! It looks like so much fun. Mummy took me out of the pram and let me have a little go on the slide......I'm not really sure if I like it or not. When we came home I had a nice nap and then we went to get groceries from Coles. I sat in the front of the trolley and not the little baby capsule part. I like sitting in the front of the trolley because I feel like a BIG girl!!!!! Lots of old ladies stopped us to tell Mummy how cute I was and then I got bored so I cried to see what Mummy would do with me then. She looked in her bag for a dummy but she had forgotten it at home so I had to play with the car keys instead.....(Mummy said...Phew!!!!)
This afternoon I had a very runny nose and wanted Mummy to hold me all the time. I wasn't feeling very well and I wanted to be carried everywhere. I hope I feel better tommorow because my 6 friends and their Mummy's are coming to our house for lunch and I can't wait to see them all again !!!!......(especially Charlie!!!!!)

I am very sorry to my avid readers as Mummy just reminded me I didn't write in my diary yesterday. I must of been too busy playing!!!! Yesterday was very cool so Mummy and I stayed home and Mummy's friend Rachael and then Natasha came to visit. So I listened to them chatting..... Natasha and Rachael are both getting married in a few months......I'm not sure what that is but it sure does mean you need to talk a lot, I could hardly get a word in!!!!! I was so tired after that so I had a nice big sleep.
When I woke up, I played some more with some blocks and a small ball. I kept trying to fit the whole ball in my mouth but no matter how hard I tried it just woudn't fit......I was very frustrated.
Last night I ate sweet potato and corn for dinner...Yummy!! I went to bed at 6.15pm as I was very tired but then I woke up at 4.00am and wanted to play. I dont think my Mummy was too happy about that!

Bonjour,
Another windy and rainy day today. I woke up and had my favourite breakfast....rice cereal with pureed pears, yum, yum!!!! Mummy and I went to Cam, Caz and Angus's house to watch football. Mummy said that my team is the West Coast Eagles and they won today and played a very good game. I didn't really care, I just like to watch the colours and I really like to watch the nice big green oval. After that we came home because I was tired. I slept for a whole 2 hours which is a long time for me!!!!
When I woke up, Daddy was on the phone and Mummy let me listen to him talking. I kept looking around the room because I could hear him but I couldn't see him, I could only see Sasha, and I know she's not my Daddy!!!!
Mummy and I then played with my toys and read books........actually I just tried to eat them. I like the pictures in "Cendrillon", my Memere and Pepere sent me that book!!

Bonjour!!!
Well, another day in my busy life!!! Today I experienced my first storm. Lots of wind and rainy weather. I liked sitting by the window in the lounge room and watching all the plants blowing in the wind and watching the rain outside. I haven't seen much rain before. Mummy says I was a pretty good baby today...:-) I slept for a little bit longer for my naps. I ate a yummy lunch of broccoli, pumpkin, zucchini and potato all mixed together. I think I ate too much because I didn't feel like eating my dinner tonight.
Today Mummy and I went to get the spare tyre fixed for the car. I smiled at all the men in the tyre shop and they said I was very cute, except for the man that asked if I was a boy.......Mummy said to him...."Do you think I would dress my son in this lovely pink tracksuit??????" Mummy will have to remember to tell Daddy about that one!!!
This afternoon I sat in my highchair and played with a spoon and a piece of string for almost an hour , it was so fascinating!!!!!!

Hello,
Today I woke up and was a bit sad because Mummy told me that Daddy had gone to work a long way away and I wasn't going to see him for 5 -7 days. That just seems like forever for me....but Mummy says he has to do this work so we can buy me new shoes when I need them !!!!! I am going to really miss him.
So, I am going to try to be a good girl for Mummy while he is away. I had 3 sleeps today but Mummy says I need to sleep longer than the maximum 45 minutes that I usually do and really need to improve in the "sleeping department"........apart from that, I am just perfect!!!
Today I did lots of climbing in my cot, its lots of fun. I like to throw my dummy on to the floor and then cry out for Mummy to come in and pick it up and give it back to me, this is my favourite game at the moment. I like to throw it at Sasha as well but she just sniffs it and walks away.
