I'm Baaaack!!!

Bonjour,
Had a great time on Rottnest Island. We went to 2 beaches everyday, did lots and lots of swimming and running on the beach and sqeeling with Ana and Samuel. We made big huge sandcastles and big holes that we filled in with water. We also tried to bury Mummy in the sand but we only really ever got her legs covered!! We stayed in a little house with a balcony and we got to see quokkas at night. Daddy was called "the sunscreen policeman" because he made sure all of us kids were creamed up before we even stepped onto a beach!!! I liked riding on the back of Daddy's bike because he can go really fast. Here are some pictures from our trip and I will be back later with more to tell you all....

Swiss friends

Bonjour,
I have been so busy. Mummy and Daddy's friends arrived from Switzerland with 2 kids for me to play with. They are staying at our house and it is so much fun having Ana and Samuel to play with all day. We have been to the beach a lot of times with them and today we went to Kings Park and played in the playground. We also took them to see kangaroos because you dont get kangaroos in Switzerland!!! I am not sure why?? At first I didn't want Ana to play with my babies. I was very protective of my toys (that's how I see it, but Mummy and Daddy say it is called "not sharing nicely"!!!) but now I am Ok with Ana playing with my special baby and I guess that means I am getting better at "sharing"!
Here are some pictures so far....... at the beach, and Mummy and Daddy and I at Kings Park, Perth.

Happy New Year!

Bonjour,
It is a new year, so Mummy and daddy keep telling me! We even had a party at our house to celebrate the end of the old year and it was lots of fun. My friends came and so did Mummy and Daddy's friends. Isn't it just so lucky that Mummy and Daddy's friends happen to be the Mummy's and daddy's of my friends....... Poor Will couldn't come because he had the chickenpox. Mummy said he got them for Christmas. Poor Will. I'm not really sure what chicken pox is but it can make you very sick and you get red dots all over your whole body and I think it was very unfair of Santa to give him chicken pox when you are supposed to get toys and treats!!!! I stayed up till 11pm at the party, the latest I have ever stayed up in my whole life and boy did Mummy and daddy pay for it the next day. I was , let's just say, a little bit tired and grumpy. We went swimming at the beach and that helped and then after lunch we all had a big sleep (apart from Mummy, who always seems to have some sort of cleaning to do!!!)
Ok, here are some of my new years resolutions:(heard Mummy and her friends talking about these which made me think of some for me!!)
1. Try to eat more chocolate, lollies and all the stuff I am not allowed much of!!!
2. Go to the park every single day
3. Stay up to 11pm more often (was so much fun at the time)
4. Go to the beach everyday and make a sandcastle every time!!!
5. Be nicer to Sasha (it's not her fault she's only a dog!!!)
6. Boss Daddy around even more (I think he secretly likes it!)
7. Learn to be neater and put my toys away so Mummy doesn't have to clean ALL day!!
8. Dont favour only 1 toy and leave the others out. Make sure they all get a turn at being my favourite.
9. Remember more often, that Santa only comes if you have been very very good all year (remember Will and the chickenpox!!)
10. Laugh more (is it even possible to laugh more than I already do!!!!!) Heard this one on the news todayas being popular and it sounded good to me to!
That's all for now,
Lots of love Sophie

And so that was Christmas.......

Bonjour,
I had the best Christmas ever! It started at 6am when I woke up and yelled out...."Has Santa been"????? then I raced out of bed to the loungeroom and Yes, he had. He had taken the carrot for the reindeers and eaten his snack and I couldn't believe my eyes.....an art easel...a pink "princess castle" tent for the back yard and a whole stocking full of surprises. I got some books, new beach shoes, a Lilo and Stitch DVD, a colouring in book and new crayons, some binoculars, some chocolate money, Angelina Ballerina and some hair clips. I ripped the chocolate open and ate is straight away, so yummy!!! We had breakfast and then we went to the beach and picked up Aunty Jane on the way. I ran into the waves and swam and had lots of fun.

After that we went to Nanny and Grandpa's for lunch. There were more presents there especially for Jacky boy and me. I got a new dress, a little purse, necklace, books, and card. I even rememebred to say "Thank you very much". It was so much fun opening all those gifts. I was such a lucky girl. We had lots of yummy food....prawns, crayfish, oysters (yuck) fruit and then lamb, chicken, ham and pork and roast potatoes with gravy (I love gravy!!!) Then we had ice cream and plum pudding....very delicious (yes, I said that!) We had to come home and all have a little sleep.

When I woke up I did some painting with my new easel and we had some friends come over. I like playing with Jasen and Katie but they are much older than me. Jasen is 7 and Katie 11 but they are my friends and I like following them around.

What a big day it was. I can hardly wait for next Christmas but in the mean time I will have lots of fun playing wiht my new things!

I hope you all had a great day like me! Here are some photos of my day. Some at the beach and some with Nanny and Grandpa, Aunty Emily, Jack and one of Mummy, Daddy and me!

PS: I am wearing my pretty dress that Memere and Pepere sent me from Florida last year in the photo up top opening my presents!

Merry Christmas to all!

Bonjour,
Well, it is Christmas Eve, and just between you and me ( and that is if anyone is even actually reading this!!!)I am a little nervous, yet very excited about tonight. I know Santa is coming at some stage and I have just checked with Mummy that he won't make a big noise and frighten me, to which Mummy has said, "I won't hear a sound"!!! In the morning I get to go and see if he leaves me anything under the tree. I hope so. Mummy and I have asked for a "art easel" so I can do paintings and drawings on it....oh yeah, and lots of surprises would be nice!!! We have left him some milk and cookies for a snack and a carrot for his reindeers. I thought that maybe 1 carrot wasn't enough, but Mummy has assured me Reindeers know how to share...(also, we had no carrots left!!)
Today was Grandpa's 68 th birthday as well. We went over to Nanny and Grandpa's house this afternoon and it was good fun. Baby Jack was there and guess what everybody....he is almost crawling!!!! WOW! I know, I know, I am excited as well. Soon, he will be running after me and yes, I know, probably catching me as well!!!! Grandpa was born so close to Christmas.....Mummy said that is why he is called 'Noel'......I'm just not sure I remember exactly why it is that he is called 'Noel' and that is has anything to do with Christmas....to me he is just Grandpa and lots and lots of fun!!!
Happy Christmas,
Love Sophie

Jack's Christening

Bonjour,
Yesterday we went to church, mummy too!! We had the normal church part and then after that Jacky boy had to get water poured all over his head. He even liked it. He was smiling and happy and even the priest said he was so cute!!! So 2 whole hours of church and I was a very good girl even if I do say so myself. Afterwards we went and had lunch at Aunty Emily and Uncle Carl's house and CAKE!!! But no candles. Poor Jack, he got presents and a cake but NO CANDLES!!!!! It was explained to me that it wasn't a birthday but I mean, presents and cake IS A BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! Lucky Jack is so little still and he wont realise he didn't get a candle on his cake!!!

Daddy is home in 3 more sleeps and Santa comes in 5 sleeps...yipppeeee. I am not sure which one I am most excited about!!!
