Bonjour,
I have a new favourite thing! Nanny and Grandpa bought me a "Tutu" and I have been wearing it pretty much since I got it (3 days ago). I can even do a few little ballet moves and I practice them all the time. It is really cold here at the moment but every afternoon I wait in the front yard wearing my tutu and playing soccer and waiting for Daddy to come home!!!!! As the pictures prove.......I even sleep in my tutu. I put it on over my jamies. Yesterday I went to Julie's and I had to take it off, BUT, soon as I got home I put it on again!!!!!

My favourite thing....

Bonjour,
Every night when I go to bed, Mummy asks me what was my favourite thing to do today??? Well. that is easy to answer, when she has let me wash the dishes during the day! I love to help and wash the dishes. I am very thorough and spend ages cleaning just one cup. Sometimes I get a bit too much water on the floor so then I get a tea towel and clean the floor as well .
One day I had been to a birthday party and the park and I STILL said that night that my favourite thing to do during the day was "to do the dishes"!!! Mummy said she hopes I am still saying that in 10, 20 years time!!!! I will I say!

At the beach in winter!!

Bonjour,
Last Sunday, Mummy, Daddy , Sasha and I went to Mullaloo beach. Yes, we know it is the middle of winter and it was very very cold, BUT, that didn't stop me going for a swim. I told Mummy I
was going to feel the water and then I aqccidently got very wet so had to take my clothes off so then I had a swim.....here are some photos moments before getting wet and taking the clothes off.
When we got home I had to have a big warm bath because I was very cold. Actually, I wasn't cold at all but I think Mummy and daddy were feeling cold looking at me. I have to put up with that a lot!!!! When they are cold (usually Mummy) I have to put a jumper on or put the heater on. Don't they know, I'm a kid and kids don't FEEL cold!!!

Yay....It's raining!

Bonjour,
Guess what, it is finally raining!!!! Yippee! I am so happy. I get to put my gumboots and raincoat on and go and jump in the puddles. I haven't seen rain for a long time and now that it is raining it is not so cold. Last Saturday in the morning it was -1 the coldest temperature ever recorded in Perth history. It did get to 24 degrees in the day but still the morning and the night is so so so cold!!!
Ok, thats all, I'm off to jump in more puddles and watch my bike get cleaned.

Conversations with Sophie

Extract from actual conversation held between Sophie and Daddy whilst making homemade pizza last Friday night as Mummy was getting ready to go to dinner and the movies with her friends......

Sophie: Daddy, what is Mummy doing in the bathroom???
Daddy: She is getting dressed.
Sophie: Is she getting dressed in jamies??????
Daddy: No, she is going out tonight with her friends
Sophie: Oh, but why is Mummy going out with her friends??
Daddy: Because sometimes Mummy's need a break from kids...and Daddy's.
Sophie: Daddy do you think that Mummy's friends will say to her...."Oooooohhhhh, you look nice" (said in a very dramatic voice)
Daddy: Laughing a lot.....I think they might.
Sophie: What movie is Mummy going to see
Daddy: I dont know, something about a man and a woman
Sophie: Phwoa, hmpf, sounds RIDICULOUS!!!
Daddy: yeah, probably will be
Sophie: I don't want to see that movie.

Moments later as Mummy says goodbye........
Sophie: Now Mummy you will be in your bed in the morning when I wake up won't you!!!

Editors note: Movie was "The Break Up" and yes......kind of ridiculous but SO good to go out for the night!!!

Mummy's growing a baby!!!!

Here are some more photos from our time in Margaret River. I was a little bit concerned about putting a stick through a perfectly good marshmallow and THEN putting it in the fire, It took me a little while to agree to do that as I don't mind just eating them out the packet as they are!!! Anyway it was pretty yummy and Daddy is very good at toasting them, not like Mummy as hers just go black and then no one wants to eat them!!!
Also, I haven't mentioned this before but Mummy is growing a baby in her belly!! Yep, it is going to be a new baby for us and it just keeps getting bigger and bigger. I can't wait for it to come out and play with me (although I am still not exactly sure how it gets out) I talk to the baby through mummy's belly button and it kicks back and also the baby really likes listening to "The Red Hot Chilli Peppers", just like I did when I was in Mummy's belly! I can tell we are going to be great friends!!!!

Back from Margaret River.....

I had a great time in Margaret River!! Lots of bush walking and playing in the bush with my little cousin Jacky-boy!!!! Daddy used a really loud, loud thing (I think it's called a chainsaw!!) and he chopped up lots of wood for Aunt Valerie and Uncle John. Uncle Carl did lots of work as well and Jack and I helped. Mostly I helped because Jack is a bit little and he can only just walk so he had to concentrate on that and he certainly fell down a lot!!!! Grandpa helped a lot as well but then the football game came on and everyone watched the "Mighty Eagles" win a great game.
The photo's above are of Daddy chopping the tree, Aunty Em and Uncle Carl taking Jack and I for a ride in the wheelbarow, everybosy sitting out watching the football and Jack and I helping daddy and Carl with the wood!
Mummy and daddy also took me to the beach and we watched really huge waves and lots of surfers. The waves were soooooooo big. The biggest I have ever seen!!!!! Then we made a fire outside in the afternoon and we melted marshmallows on sticks and they were very yummy. Jack had one and he got it all over his face and he looked so funny.
So it was lots and lots of fun all weekend and Mummy is happy because she had a nice rest as there were lots of people to keep me entertained and occupied!
