Adventures of the Belliveaus

Well our big Canadian/Bahamian adventure began on Saturday night November 28th, when our little family of four embarked on a 6 week adventure to the beautiful Canada.  Emotional farewells to our furry baby Sadie being left behind in the great care of Nanny and Grandpa.  Sadie....obviously has no idea!  So a bit of a "hairy" start when we realised we didn't have our ESTA visa's for the USA.  Oops!  Although we were not leaving the LA airport,  and flying straight to Calgary.....the rules had changed since our last adventure and we hurriedly applied online whilst sitting in Perth Airport for such visas. Eventually we had to check in and as approval had not been granted we were only able to check in as far as Hong Kong, therefore having to collect our luggage in Hong Kong and go through customs again.  Of course as soon as we reached the boarding gates our approval had been granted....anyhow a minor hiccup now in the grand scheme of things.  Out flight left at midnight Perth time and we arrived in Hong Kong at 7.45am Sunday morning.

Just landed in Calgary to snow on the ground and a chilly -5 degrees Celsius. Out come the warm clothes before we leave
the airport!
