Our house.....FOR SALE.....

This is our home.  We have owned this house for 11 years but now it is for sale.  We are moving soon.  We have bought a house closer to the ocean and with lots more space and a POOL....yippee!!!  You can even see the Indian Ocean from our back yard.  We love our new house but we REALLY loved this house too.  We are kind of sad to leave it but not too sad as we can take all our happy memories with us :-)

Luc is kind of the saddest.  He is unsure about the concept of not living here and thinks it is incredibly unfair that he has spent the least amount of time here and that he should of been  born so much earlier (???) than he was so he could have lived here longer!!!!  Yes, I know....he asks all the EASY questions...(not!)

This house looks very different to how we bought it.  We improved it!

love this tree!  Denis actually created this umbrella like tree.  When we moved in it was the size of the chair that is next to it and a hedge and he shaped it.  It's a work of art really!! 

11 years ago there was no lawn...it was just sand!

On the weekend after Sophie's birthday we took her and 4 of her "besties" bowling!

Later......back at our house for play time and birthday cake number 2!!  This one was from "Wendy's".  Cookies and Cream on the bottom and a selection of flavours on top!

Some chaos afterwards with 5 little girls and one little boy all yelling out which flavour they wanted...aaaaargh..... SO I ditched the bowls and handed out spoons and let them just "go for it"!!

Silence and Mmmmm's followed and a few......"This is the best cake ever's" were muttered!

Still smiling..... Luc at the end of the day even after 5 girls had been in the house.....(ok, maybe that's a slightly fake smile!! )  Don't worry buddy, as Daddy said to you, in about 8 yrs time you will really like having Sophie's friends over!!

The kids's Titanic re-enactment....

We boat-sat my brother in laws boat for a few months as we had the perfect spot for it in our yard!  The kids loved it...it was like a cubby house for them and they were often out there playing in it or climbing on it!  Luc loved to play "Pirates" but my favourite was when they played "Titanic".  Quite funny considering neither of them have actually seen the movie and Luc became completely "freaked out" about Icebergs.  So much so that he says he is not swimming this year at the beach incase he get's hit by an "iceberg"  No amount of explaining to him will convince him that it is impossible for an iceberg to just turn up in the Indian Ocean.

Actually........here she broke into song with...."The hills are alive"....um...wrong movie Sophie!  It was supposed to be......"My heart will go onnnnnnnn....(and on and on and on....!)

Summer days are here!!

Today is a "pupil free " day off school! Meaning the teachers go to school but the kids have the day off!!! A beautiful summery warm day.... Perfect for pool time playing!!!

On the farm....

 During the school holidays we went and stayed on a friends farm.  Just the mums and kids went and we had so much fun.  Also it was only a 50 minute drive form our house so was super quick to get there and we didn't have to ask Mummy 1000 times....."are we there yet"!!!  We only had to say it about 10 times.  It was my friend Sofie's Pops farm and when we arrived he said he would take us all out in the back of the "ute" (that's a truck for the Canadian folk reading!) to visit the cows!!
